Mr. Friday Johnny was born on September 25, 1964. He began his education at Government School in Okop Ndua Erong, Ibesikpo Asutan Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria, where he earned his First School Leaving Certificate. He then attended Asutan Ekpe Comprehensive High School, Ibesikpo Asutan LGA, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria, obtaining his West African School Certificate. Pursuing higher education, Mr. Johnny enrolled at the University of Uyo, Nigeria, earning a Bachelor of Science Degree (2nd Class Upper Division) in Business Management. He continued at the same institution to complete a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a Master of Science in Public Order and Information Management (POIM). Furthering his academic pursuits, he obtained a Master of Public Administration (MPA) with a focus on Government and Policy from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona, USA. His high-Grade Point Average at Grand Canyon University earned him membership in Alpha Chi, the National College Honor Society.
Professionally, Mr. Johnny dedicated over a decade to the Bursary Department of the University of Uyo, Nigeria. He later transitioned to the Human Resources Department, where he served for more than ten years. Subsequently, he was appointed as the University’s Liaison Officer in the Nigeria’s Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, a role he fulfilled for ten years before resigning. After relocating to the United States, Mr. Johnny worked with Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria (BBVA) Bank. He later joined Pittsburgh National Corporation (PNC) Bank before moving to Joseph Generation Inc. in Phoenix.
Mr. Johnny has acquired several certificates in business and public trainings, including the Phoenix Bank Works Training certificate, the School of Disciples Certificate from the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Certificate in Customer Service Agent Training, and a Certificate in Ministry from Redeemers University, North America. He also completed the Discipleship and Leadership Training Course at Dunamis International Gospel Center in Abuja, Nigeria and obtained a Certificate of Stewardship from RCCG’s Solid Rock Parish in Phoenix, USA.
In addition to his professional and academic accomplishments, Mr. Johnny has been active in volunteer services in Glendale Main Library, Arizona and with the New Impact Community organization. He is a member of the United States Institute of Diplomacy and Human Rights. Member, Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM). Member, Nigerian Institute of Training and Development (NITD). Member, Institute for Practitioners in Work Study, Organization & Methods (IPOM). Member, American Society for Public Administration (ASPA). and Member, Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology (SIOP). Mr. Johnny has also individually and jointly published articles in various academic journals.
